The Llano Estacado Regional Water Planning Group ("Region O") will conduct a public hearing, Thursday, August 11, 2005, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Texas Tech University International Cultural Center, 601 Indiana Avenue, Lubbock, TX 79409-1036.  The public is invited to attend. 

The purpose of the public hearing is to receive oral and written comments on the Initially Prepared Llano Estacado Regional Water Plan, which includes the counties of Bailey, Briscoe, Castro, Cochran, Crosby, Dawson, Deaf Smith, Dickens, Floyd, Gaines, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, Motley, Parmer, Swisher, Terry, and Yoakum.  The comment period ends October 10, 2005.

AGENDA 

1.         Call To Order and Welcome by Chairman H.P. Brown Jr.

2.         Introduction of LERWPG members by Chairman H.P. Brown Jr.

3.         Guidelines For Tonight’s Public Hearing by Jim Conkwright, High Plains Water District manager.

4.         Presentation of the Initially Prepared Plan by Dr. Herb Grubb, Consultant, HDR Engineering, Austin. 

5.         Acceptance of oral and written comments by Chairman H.P. Brown Jr.   (Oral comments limited to five (5) minutes per person, pre-registration is required.)             

6.         Adjourn by Chairman H.P. Brown Jr.
